Encompassing 3 areas, our Healthcare, Sani Professional and Contract manufacturing divisions, we develop, manufacture and distribute leading edge products for North America and the world. We have several locations across the US and are looking for new Associates to join our team! POSITION PURPOSE PDI is the market leader in hospital surface disinfection products including germicidal wipes and sprays. Our products are routinely used by customers to disinfect hospital equipment to help prevent healthcare associated infections (HAIs). Our customers seek products that are effective in preventing HAIs, and are safe to use on their equipment without causing damage. The Product Manager, Environmental Services will develop and implement the marketing plan for PDI within the Environmental Services customer segment. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES The Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the Environmental Services marketing strategy. This will include gathering and prioritizing customer requirements, working with cross-functional teams to deliver successful messaging, tools and programs, training the sales organization, partnering with National Accounts to maximize distribution, and integrating new products into the Environmental Services portfolio. The Product Manager will also partner with R&D to provide feedback on customer needs as a key input to new product development initiatives. Other responsibilities include: o Complete an assessment of the Environmental Services market and develop a marketing strategy that positions PDI as a market leader. o Develop the annual commercial marketing plan to drive double-digit sales growth within the Environmental Services market. o Develop marketing collateral that communicate the PDI value proposition. o Develop educational materials to provide enhanced customer value and position PDI as a valued partner. o Train PDI's field sales organization on PDI's value proposition and how to utilize educational materials to provide additional customer value. o Develop and implement PDI's digital platform for the Environmental Services target market, including website, press releases and social media campaign. o Develop and implement PDI's educational platform including webinars and CEU programs. o Partner with key societies and implement a conference plan that includes exhibits and sponsorships. o Partner with KOLs to develop and implement speaker events at society meetings that position PDI as a leader in Environmental Services. o Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Leadership, Clinical Affairs and National Accounts to lead the implementation of the annual commercial marketing plan. o Research and manage product development activities working with cross-functional teams including R&D, Regulatory, Quality and Manufacturing to deliver products that meet well established customer requirements while supporting strategic goals. o Establish successful plan to support strategic goals in collaboration with Clinical Affairs and Field Sales, and execute on well-defined and well-measured activities to achieve success. Brand Strategy o Support the overall brand strategy for key Category brands. o Analyze competitive situation, identify barriers to access, educational gaps and unmet needs in the market. o Develop and test early commercial concepts for positioning and messaging, branding and educational platform messaging. o Work cross-functionally to proactively monitor and communicate changes in healthcare policy and competitive landscape that have implications on relevant Category product line. Leadership o Be a role model for company core values and culture. o Establish strong commitment and accountability for all initiatives and programs. o Act as a leader within the company and create a culture of accountability, collaboration and urgency. Tactical Execution o Build a team of strategic partners to execute tactical plan, ensuring partners meet contractual and budgetary requirements. Lead Cross-Functional Launch and Project Teams that would include all aspects of bringing key programs and initiatives to market including R&D, Sales Leadership, National Accounts, Operations, Supply Chain, Clinical, Legal, Regulatory, etc. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS 1. Percent to Annual Budget for key brands 2. Growth over Prior Year Sales 3. Develop and implement annual marketing plan for Environmental Services 4. Ability to execute cross-functional initiatives 5. Manage expense budget for compatibility initiatives Requirements QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and familiarity with salesforce.com. Advanced communication and organizational skills. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Minimum of 5 years in healthcare industry. Minimum of 5 years of previous experience with product management/marketing or sales is preferred. Experience working in Hospital Environmental Services market is preferred. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Confidently and expertly drive various projects to meet stated goals within projected timeframes. Strong prioritization skills in order to manage multiple activities across the team on a daily basis. Prior experience with product marketing essential - knowledge and experience with upstream and downstream marketing critical. Exceptionally strong communication skills are a requirement including the ability to collaborate with health care professionals as well as the sales force and R&D teams on future product enhancements. Outstanding project management and team-building skills. High-energy, strong sense of urgency, attention to detail. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Proven ability to influence without authority and work with cross-functional teams in the development and delivery of brand strategic imperatives. Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills. Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups.
